Meet Attorney Natalie Blackman
Natalie Blackman is an employment law attorney with deep Louisiana roots and a bold commitment to justice. A native of Avoyelles Parish, Natalie brings both grit and compassion to every case she takes on. She is known for her tireless advocacy, no-nonsense litigation style, and unwavering dedication to protecting workers’ rights.
Natalie graduated from Avoyelles High School in 2000 and earned her Psychology degree from Southern University in 2006. She later earned her Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in 2014, where she served as a legal writing teaching assistant and was actively involved in the Journal of Race, Gender and Poverty, the American Inns of Court, and the Black Law Students Association.
After law school, Natalie sharpened her courtroom skills through intensive trial training. She is a 2015 graduate of the prestigious Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College, a 2017 graduate of the National Criminal Defense College, and a 2018 graduate of the Louisiana State Bar LIFT Program.
She has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for six consecutive years (2019–2024)—a recognition awarded to only 2.5% of attorneys in the state.
A Personal Note
Outside the courtroom, Natalie is a proud mother to a son who graduated from Howard University and is currently pursuing his Master of Fine Arts at Rutgers University. She’s also raising two spirited young daughters who keep her grounded and inspired.
A rescuer at heart, Natalie fosters dogs in need and has welcomed dozens of pups into her home—giving them love, structure, and a second chance. She’s also a devoted plant lover, with a growing indoor jungle that brings her peace and joy between court filings and consultations.
Natalie believes that every client deserves to be heard and that strong attorney-client relationships are built on trust, time, and truth. She listens. She prepares. She fights. And if she can’t take your case, she’ll help you find someone who can.
